A friend of mine posted his end of his day fishing on FB.  I loved the photo and I asked if I could paint it.  This painting just flowed.  It was a fun piece to complete.  Everything came together, the canvas, the  paint and the feel.

When I took the picture it was very early spring reflecting the amazing snow on the mountains before even the buds on the trees started to poke their heads.  As I built my painting, the fall colours were starting to come into play, I went back to the same place and took so many photos of the fall.  I then transitioned the painting from early spring to early fall.

I love the Three Sisters.  I grew up in Canmore and the view of the mountains were from my front door.  I would sit on the lawn and draw these majestic mountains over and over again.  Truly my favourite mountain.
